Influenced quite basically by 'all kinds of brutal metal' the quintet established a solid line up early in their existence with the exception of a drummer; the right sticksman to sit behind the kit proving to be elusive until they finally settled on recording skins beater Tom Sic, credited not as a drummer in the band ranks but more ominously as 'blastmachine'.

NOX ULTIMA is a cruel and raw black metal hailing from Finland. The final damning darkness began in 2010 when the four aliases; A.H, Svetovid, Witch-Doctor and Christmolestor joined forces, united by a shared need for extreme music. New Addition to our Roster !!

Welcome a new band to our roster: HATERAIN. Haterain were formed in August 2004 as "Tornado" by Thanassis Plagkas!

They are currently promoting their first full lengh album "FIRE AT WILL" which has some good rates from the press with the Greek METAL HAMMERs interview as a suggest of the month (March 2010), being the highlight!!

Currently, the band have changed their name to "Haterain", working on some new stuff and performing with some new members with Thanassis Plagkas only remaining from the old line up!!

German Death Metal DIMORPH Signs to TPF!!

We are delighted to announce a new addition to our roster. Dimorph was found in 2003 by Evgenij (Jeff). During the course of numerous line-up changes the band released the well perceived demo "Slave of Lies"(2006) and the EP "Obscurity" (2008) and established their renown as a furious live act. With the intention to create heavier, darker and faster music Dimorph have recorded the promo-song "The Suffering", displaying the new, now definite cast of the group and is heading ever further into the exploration of their vision of furious death metal.

One Awesome new band in our roster!!

We are happy to announce to welcome a new band in our roster. ALCHERA from Germany, they are from the Bonn-area and has been in existence since 1996 and already released a few items on their own. ‘Era’ is the official debut of this 6-piece. The album contains 13 songs that can be placed in the melodic death metal shoebox. So, there’s a definite Swedish influence within their sound when it comes to the melodies, which are in the vein of Dissection and Naglfar. In general the overall sound of Alchera is a bit heavier though, so pure death metal.

We have a new signing to announce!

TPF agency are pleased to announce our new signing, DEAD SAMARITAN from Finland. The band started in early January 2001. We've done three demos so far, in 2001, 2002 and 2004. The year 2005 was spent doing gigs, after that we had to take long hiatus because of line-up changes, studying etc. In late 2008 Marko and Janne started slowly rehearsing again and found out, that playing was fun again. In 2009 two new members, guitarist Matti and bassist Eero were recruited to the ranks. We have also recently recruited a new singer, Valendis Suomalainen, who is known from the band Herem. 

In February/March 2010 we recorded four new songs with the assistance of Henri Virsell. Upping the ante is the name of the game...

Please let´s give a warm welcome to our newest family member: EPIC DEATH from USA!

EPIC DEATH is the brain child of Dennis Dorsett aka The Guitar Vamp and his long search for the throne that will give him reign over the kingdom of darkness.  The dark tones of his guitar and his haunting lyrics touch you just like his fangs on the lily white skin of a maiden.

Becky Dorsett aka Mistress Demona is just that, the evil mistress of the keys.  Her extensive stufy of haunting sounds adds eerie excitement to each of the songs by Epic Death, luring you in to her musical spells.

The scion known as Forest Holt aka Ulfr (pronounced Oolf), the spawn of chaos brings forth his bass like the rolling thunder of Mjollnir itself.  The thundering drive of his bass leaves only destruction in its wake as nothing built by man can stand before its onslaught and the onslaught of Epic Death.

Much like the thundering hooves of the great steeds during battle,  Zak Roofner aka Dead Speed is known for his precision and ability to provide any beat necessary to take Epic Death into victory.  His precise timing, blast beats and intricate break downs allow Epic Death to entice you and make you a part of each song.

New Band Under The Pain Fucktory´s Roster!!

The young death metallers from UK DEATH ON DEMAND has just signed with TPF Agency for Promotion in SouthAmerica.

Death on Demand was originally started in October 2009 by Lee, Phil & Locker. Locker left shortly after to follow another path but returned in 2011 to take up his original spot on the drum kit.  

Musically, the band is influenced by the heavier and darker side of metal, from early Paradise lost through to Nile. All forms of extreme metal, death and black, will no doubt surface within the bands sound.

The name Death: On Demand came about due to the digital decaying age we now live in.

New Additions To Our Roster!!

As you can see we have been hard at work, we are proud to announce the addition of four new bands to our roster:  Moria (Ukraine), Homicide Hagridden (Itlay), Bleeding Utopia (Sweden) and Mourned By Flies (USA)!

 

Looking for a fresh thrash metal band you have never heard before? Check out MORIA! This Ukranian band has a very long history and very few studio recordings, but today they are regarded as one of the leading bands in the Ukranian metal scene. To make a long story short, they formed back in 1995 and after several line-up changes disbanded in 2000 to get back together in 2006 and focus again on music. The material for the next album “Pain Shreds” was just recorded. The album will include 10 songs. At the moment the album is at the stage of mixing and mastering. The album was attended by musicians: Evgeny Ardentis (STARDOWN)[Russia]; Kate Moray (Moray Eel) [Russia]; Alexandr Baev (Hell:On) [Ukraine]; Iowa (Ungrace) [Ukraine]. Preliminary date of release is spring 2011.

HOMICIDE HAGRIDDEN is a relatively unknown band and I think they deserve more attention. They play modern-day Thrash Metal with a lot of SLAYER influences, especially in the guitars. The band was formed in 1994 by the founder Stefano M. He dreams to create a power thrash metal band was know with the name of DEATH SLAUGHTER. The band changes name in HOMICIDE HAGRIDDEN and plays some concert in first six month of 1994.

Stefano Moda, Massimo Moda and Davide Ruo Roch three heads but only one aim, initially recorded two demo-tape and a EP, until the first full album, released in 2005 for Eclipse rec.Japan! HOMICIDE HAGRIDDEN offer a powerful live set around Italy with a few stops in Europe for two years , playing in all the places available! A bad accident in Max, without the band for several years with the consequence of having lost a very important train in time! Re-established and fully operational, Max and the band began the composition of songs in 2011 would make up the new album Homicide HAGRIDDEN.

Emerging from northern Colorado, arguably home to the state’s largest dark metal scene, is MOURNED BY FLIES, they are clearly a mélange of thrash, death metal and grindcore. However, the band's decision to infuse songs like "Eviscerate" and "Dying Circuit" with moody atmospherics using tasteful synth lines sets it apart from so much other heavy music. Mourned by Flies consists of Erik Gristle (vocals), Greg Keenan (guitars/synth/drum tracks), Jesse James McGarvey (guitars/ no longer a member), Aimee Rodriguez (bass) and Skar Huwig (drums). The members of Mourned by Flies simply credit all aspects of heavy metal, accompanied by gut-wrenching life experiences. This gives way to a modern metal sound that includes equal parts of emotion and chaos. The ending result is a powerhouse of a band with a sound that has to be heard to be believed. They offer organic instrumentations infused with synthetic elements, which in turn creates a unique and alluring sound. 

.. And if what the band has accomplished thus far is any indication for the future, the best and brightest is yet to come.

BLEEDING UTOPIA is a melodic Death Metal band hailing from Sweden, the idea for the band started by Andreas "Fluff" Morén(Astral Carneval, Dead Awaken) back in 2003.
Andreas had 3 Thrash/Death-Metal song and wanted to record it so he called his good friend Erik Stenström(ex.Septic Breed, ex.Soulbreach,ex.Movement) to play the drums, Henrik Wenngren to record it and Dino Medanhodzic(ex. Septic Breed. Soulbreach, Carnal Forge) to play the solos. In july 2003 it was recorded and released under the name Operation SidEffect.

BU started to rehears as crazy and made song after song after song. In the spring of 2010 Joakim Bergros joined as a second guitarist.
BU booked a couple of gigs and recorded a 4 song promo, you can listen to 4 songs on Myspace and Spotify.

EVERFAILED, a talented Progressive Death Metalband from Greece has just joined forces with us. We are very happy to have them onboard and we are looking forward to working with them.

Este es el segundo disco de estudio de esta jóven banda noruega nacida allá por el 2003. Lamentablemente desconozco su primer disco de estudio, titulado "Djevelskap" y lanzado allá por el 2006, por lo que no puedo hacer comparaciones con este "Landgang" editado el año pasado por Black Lotus Productions. Hay una a dos curiosidades que vale la pena comentar antes de seguir. Hoy en día la banda califica su propuesta como Norwegian Viking Black Metal. Y antes, según lo que pude averiguar, tocaban un Black Metal melódico. El siguiente dato es aún mas interesante. En las fotos promocionales de su primer disco aparecen todos vestidos de negro, con corpsepaint y el fondo oscuro, lúgubre. Hoy en día se los vé sin corpsepaint, bien tranquilitos a la orilla del mar o sobre una colina observando el atardecer. Está claro que algo cambió en la vida y obra de esta gente de Tonsberg, Noruega.

Los motivos del cambio habrá que averiguarlos en alguna entrevista con ellos. Hoy nos ocuparemos de la música que hacen. Y es raro lo que voy a escribir, pero esperaba otra cosa. Ojo, no porque encuentre malo este material. Para nada. Es que al leer "Norwegian Viking Black Metal" me imaginé otra cosa. Hay algunos toques "vikingos", por llamarlos de alguna manera, durante el material, pero lo que prevalece es claramente el Black Metal que en muchísimos pasajes me recuerda a SATYRICON. Los temas tienen un promedio de mas de seis minutos cada uno y están los de tinte mas "blackmetalero" como "Final Destruction", "Come My Child", "Tragedy Anthems" o "Throne Of Sin" y otras como "Elite", "Eternal" o "In The Fire" donde la banda se prueba el traje de "progresivos" (supongo que esto será lo "vikingo" a lo que hace alusión la banda). Si se consiguen el disco les pediría que escuchen el último tema, un instrumental titulado "Arv", y me digan si coinciden conmigo.

Podría haber sido un TEMAZO si a los exactamente 2:01 no hubieran bajado un cambio. Si ahí seguían acelerando, este disco hubiera sumado algún que otro poroto, desde mi humilde punto de vista. La producción es típica para una banda nórdica. No esperen mas que eso. Las guitarras suenan frías (otra vez ese parecido a SATYRICON y tantas otras mas...) así que todo aquél que ya esté dentro del mundillo noruego del estilo sabe a lo que me refiero. La voz está muy bien. Y en general el disco también. La banda tiene talento, se nota que saben tocar sus instrumentos y estoy segurisimo que el próximo disco será otro paso más hacia adelante. Buen álbum.

Noruega y Black Metal. Una combinación letal. Una infinidad de bandas provenientes de ese país ya se abrió paso durante los años y llegó a lo mas alto. Pero aún hay muchas que siguen peleando y otras que nacieron hace poco y recién comienzan esa “lucha” cuerpo a cuerpo. FRAMFERD es una de ellas. Con dos discos de estudio ya lanzados y una propuesta que tira mas para el lado “vikingo” y ”épico”, la banda empieza a ganar terreno y adeptos en todos lados. Langbach, voz parlante y bajista del grupo, se tomó unos minutos para METAL-DAZE.com.

Hola Langbach, ¿cómo estás? Muchísimas gracias por tomarte unos minutos para contestar nuestras preguntas. En primer lugar te pediría que nos presentes a la banda. Alineación, historia, discografía y todo lo que se te ocurra…

Nosotros te agradecemos la chance que nos das de presentarnos en sociedad. Somos FRAMFERD, de Tønsberg, Noruega. Hacemos Black Metal y comenzamos con ello en el 2002 y no paramos desde ese entonces. Nuestra alineación sufrió muchos cambios, pero dos de los miembros originales están de vuelta. Nuestra alineación actual es la siguiente: Nødset - bateria, Langbach - bajo and voces, Kvist - guitarra y Rystad- guitarra. Esta será la alineación que grabará el próximo, tercer, disco en nuestra historia. Hasta ahora lanzamos “Djevelskap” en el 2006 a través de Dark Side Of Norway y en el 2009 sacamos “Landgang” a través de Black Lotus Productions

Hablemos de este último disco denominado “Landgang”. Me gustó bastante, pero ¿cómo lo ven ustedes? ¿Están santisfechos con el resultado?

Estamos contentos con el disco en cuanto a los temas y al material, pero no estamos para nada contentos con el sonido general y la “producción” del mismo [N.d.R.: fíjensé que pone “producción” entre comillas]. Queríamos el sonido crudo de FRAMFERD pero debido a un montón de problemas durante la grabación del mismo el sonido salió bastante malo. Durante el masterizado pudimos mejorarlo muchísimo, pero aún así sentimos que el disco sería mejor si tuviera una mejor producción. Esperamos que el próximo disco suene mejor! Pero si tomamos a “Landgang” como un producto entero, entonces hay que decir que estamos satisfechos. 

Lamentablemente no escuché nunca vuestro primer disco “Djevelskap” así que no puedo compararlos. Ayudame y decime en que se diferencian los discos.

Debido a los cambios en la formación entre “Djevelskap” y “Landgang” está claro que hay una diferencia en cuanto al material. Jorgmundgand fue el que escribió la mayor parte de la música de “Djevelskap” y cuando el se fue de la banda, la musica creada por los otros miembros se tomó para “Landgang”. Hay algunas diferencias, pero aún así creo que los dos discos suenana a FRAMFERD. La mayor diferencia posiblemente sea que en “Djevelskap” utilizamos una gran cantidad de sintetizadores, en cambio en “Landgang” no usamos nada de eso. Sacar los sintetizadores cambia muchísimo la impresión de la musica, así que tuvimos que trabajar de diferentes formas para que las ideas se transformen en realidad. 

La diferencia que yo si encontré, fue que en las fotos promocionales del primer disco la banda aparecía con el corpsepaint, en una atmósfera “oscura” y “maligna”. En las nuevas fotos promocionales en cambio, se ve a la banda de una manera totalmente diferente. ¿Qué les pasó como banda? ¿Fueron esos cambios en la alineación que llevaron a una visión totalmente distinta?

Decidimos dejar el corpsepaint porque sentimos que la pintura y la “sensación” que otorga están conectadas a un estilo de musica mas extremo al que nos queremos dirigir nosotros. Respetamos totalmente el corpsepaint y esa atmósfera y no nos arrepentimos de nada que hagamos hecho en el pasado, pero FRAMFERD ha evolucionado musicalmente. Y fue como una evolución natural para la banda dejar el corpsepaint. No es que nos decidimos a dejarlo de repente, fue una evolución natural. No hubo un cambio radical en la forma de pensar, las líricas siguen tratando los mismos temas, pero de una manera diferente. 

¿Cómo están repartidos los roles en la banda? ¿Hay algún dictador entre ustedes o todo lo que hacen es un trabajo en equipo? ¿Cómo es el trabajo en el estudio?

La banda trabaja en conjunto. Normalmente uno en la banda tiene una idea para un tema o un tema ya terminado y lo retocamos entre todos. Pero obviamente, si alguno en la banda tiene una idea concreta de cómo debe sonar el tema desde el principio, no lo cambiamos por el simple hecho de hacer prevalecer la democracia [risas]. Nuestra nueva alineación tiene nuevos integrantes y aún debemos ver como trabajamos juntos en el estudio. Pero sinceramente creo que trabajaremos de la misma manera en la que lo hacemos en la sala de ensayo. Críticas constructivas ayudan a mejorar el resultado final. 

Si lo entendí bien, vuestras líricas hablan de la mitología nórdica, la era pre-cristiana en Noruega, la cultura noruega y esas cosas. Y he observado que hay un montón de bandas que empiezan a utilzar estos temas en sus líricas. Sinceramente creo que es fantástico ver que no solo se trata de satán, del infierno, satán, de nuevo infierno y luego otra vez satán. Nunca he estado en Noruega, pero ¿cuánto tiene que ver este hecho con la situación actual en la sociedad noruega? En otras palabras, tengo la sensación de que cada vez mas europeos se empiezan a preocupar por la “invasión” de extrangeros en sus paises…

Nuestras liricas están muy influenciadas por la mitología noruega, es cierto. Mezclada con nuestras propias filosofías, ética y moral. Obviamente que el Black Metal fue concebido para ser “maligno” o como mínimo para ser la oposición de otras cosas y “extremo”. Pero la música tiene espacio para mucho mas que eso. Creo que es por eso que las bandas tienden a encerrarse en ciertos temas en el Black Metal y el Metal extremo en general. No puedo opinar sobre otras bandas, pero si por nosotros. Y tanto antiguas como nuevas líricas parten de la idea de la invasión moral, cultural y religiosa cuando el cristianismo se abrió el camino por Escandinavia torturando, matando y violando lo nuestro. No es que tengamos problemas con extranjeros, pero si creo que es correcto y está bien mantener una cierta distancia hacia nuevas crusadas religiosas y culturales. Debemos tener una forma de pensar propia. 

Varg Vikernes es otro que escribió y aún escribe sobre estos temas. ¿Escuchaste el nuevo disco de BURZUM? ¿Te gustó? El fue liberado un año atrás. ¿Hubo algún reporte de la televisión noruega sobre su liberación?

Escuché el nuevo disco de BURZUM y me pareció que estaba bien. Lo que pasa es que nunca fui un gran fan de BURZUM. La televisión noruega hizo un corto reporte sobre la liberación de Vikernes, pero no fue el acontecimiento mediatico que existió cuando fue encarcelado. Así que no escuché mucho de el desde que salió, solo leí una entrevista de el después de su liberación.

Es sabido que Noruega es un país con un montón de bandas de Black Metal. ¿Por qué un fan le tendría que dar una chance a FRAMFERD? ¿Qué los diferencia a ustedes del resto de bandas ahí afuera?

Es cierto que en Noruega tenemos un montón de bandas Black Metal. Los fans de la música extrema le tendrían que dar una chance a FRAMFERD porque tratamos de hacer las cosas un poco diferentes. Seguramente que no les gustará a todos, pero tratamos de hacer algo nuevo, tratamos de evolucionar nuestro concepto para ver adonde nos lleva. Musica extrema honesta. Eso queremos.

Me imagino que estarán planeando un nuevo disco en algún momento. ¿Hay algo terminado ya? ¿Alguna cosa que nos quieras o puedas adelantar?

Estamos planeando un nuevo disco. En estos momentos estamos escribiendo el material y esperamos poder entrar al estudio en Febrero del 2011 para grabarlo. Tenemos un montón de material para ensayar día y noche para poder entrar al estudio con todo preparado. Además estamos visitando y probando diferentes estudios para encontrar el adecuado. Loque te puedo adelantar sobre el nuevo disco es que será mas conceptual que los anteriores dos discos. Como siempre, la música de FRAMFERD evoluciona constantemente, pero creemos que en esto disco se volverán a notar las marcas registradas de la banda. Estamos muy contentos con el material hasta ahora y esperamos que a la gente también le agrade. En los próximos días pondremos en la red un video que nos muestra ensayando algunos nuevos cortes. Una especie de adelanto para todos ustedes.

¿Qué me podés decir sobre vuestros shows? ¿Ya tuvieron la chance de salir de gira para promocionar su material? Me imagino que no debería haber problemas en encontrar lugares para tocar en Noruega. ¿Sus trabajos diarios les permiten tocar shows regularmente?

Hemos tocado varios shows presentando nuestro último material a lo largo y a lo ancho de Noruega, pero esperamos que nuestro próximo disco nos permita alejarnos un poco mas de casa. No solo para promocionar el material sino que también queremos encontrarnos con los fans! En Noruega hay un montón de shows, es cierto, y tratamos de tocar en la mayor cantidad posible. Todos tenemos trabajos y estudiamos, pero igualmente ambos nos permitirían salir de gira, así que esperamos que ese sea el futuro de FRAMFERD.

Normalmente le preguntamos a los entrevistados si en este último tiempo han descubierto alguna banda que les haya volado la cabeza. ¿Qué me podés decir vos al respecto? ¿Alguna banda nueva o local que nos puedas recomendar?

CONCRETE es una banda de nuestro pueblo y nuestro guitarrista toca en esa banda también. Deben escucharlos! Lanzarán su primer EP muy pronto. Además quiero nombrar a MISTUR, una banda estupenda.

Muchas gracias por contestar nuestras preguntas. Las últimas palabras te pertenecen. ¿Qué le querés decir a la gente hispanoparlante que leerá esta entrevista en los próximos días?

Me gustó contestar tus preguntas. A toda la gente latinoamericana les comento que tenemos una agencia promotora del Peru, así que estén atentos a un CD que próximamente lanzará The Pain Fucktory. Esperamos verlos muy pronto si logramos concretar una gira por allí. Sería fantástico poder girar por allí. Siempre piensen por ustedes mismos y que viva el Metal!
